A Little Known Fact…

The world keeps turning, without me pushing it. The plane will stay aloft without me willing it to do so. The boat will float whether I pay attention or not. And no-one can control the outcomes of other people’s actions. These are facts. These are difficult to accept.

I can’t really explain what this one is about, because I’d be lying if I said I fully knew myself… it’s basically an attempt at an expression of what’s going on in my head at the moment but I don’t really know how to put it into words just yet.
I expect it will be the first of several as this doesn’t come anywhere near to giving the full picture!!!
It came about following two exasperatingly frustrating therapy sessions in which I reverted to being basically non-verbal at times, which is my MO when I have a new issue pop up. I don’t have the words to express it at first. And my therapist’s response is invariably “can you write about it?” then when I shake my head, “can you draw it?”… then I stare at him and whisper “draw it?” he nods, “I’ll try”.
And then drawings happen… and he somehow helps me make sense of what I’ve drawn and together we find the right words and then we can formulate the problem, which allows us to come up with a way of working on it. And that is basically how my therapy goes. #ilovemytherapist.

  1. An impressive share! I have just forwarded this onto a coworker who has been doing a little homework on this. And he actually bought me breakfast simply because I stumbled upon it for him… lol. So let me reword this…. Thank YOU for the meal!! But yeah, thanx for spending some time to talk about this issue here on your web page.

  2. You really make it appear really easy with your presentation however I in finding this matter to be really one thing that I think I’d by no means understand. It kind of feels too complicated and extremely broad for me. I am looking forward for your subsequent put up, I’ll attempt to get the dangle of it!

  3. Heya! I understand this is sort of off-topic however I had to ask. Does building a well-established blog like yours take a massive amount work? I’m brand new to running a blog however I do write in my journal daily. I’d like to start a blog so I can easily share my experience and thoughts online. Please let me know if you have any kind of recommendations or tips for brand new aspiring bloggers. Appreciate it!

    1. Hi there, thanks for your interest and your question. Yes, it takes a lot of time and effort to put it together initially and to maintain it, however, the engine I use to build mine (wordpress) has some fairly simple templates that you can use to put one together with reasonable ease. So you don’t need to be a computer whizz or coder or anything like that, but still, to get the content up and looking exactly as you want it does take time and effort. WordPress have a lot of tutorials and a help forum that you might find useful. Once you get the blog set up, maintenance is less onerous, but if you want to change the overall look of the site (as I have recently done) it will again require a lot of time and effort. Basically running a blog or a website is quite a commitment, but it certainly doesn’t outweigh the benefits (for me anyway).
